I am a realist painter and educator based near Boston, Massachusetts. I received a BFA from Boston University and continued my training at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, before pursuing further studies with painters Nelson Shanks and Gary Hoffmann.

My work is inspired by both nature and the modern world and often explores narrative, metaphor, and the unexpected relationships that emerge through sustained observation. Using traditional methods of drawing and painting, I create images that balance technical rigor with curiosity, humor, and discovery.

I work across portraiture, figure, still life, and landscape, primarily in oil paint, graphite, charcoal, and pen. While my paintings often appear straightforward at first glance, I am interested in creating work that rewards prolonged looking and reveals additional layers of meaning over time.

Rather than beginning with a fixed narrative, I often allow meaning to emerge through the act of observation itself. I am interested in how attention transforms our understanding of ordinary things and how looking closely can reveal unexpected connections between objects, ideas, and experiences.

In addition to my studio practice, I teach drawing and painting through my atelier and at local art centers in the Boston area.
